As a 22-year-old college student, I never gave thought to the women who had gone before me, who made it absolutely no challenge to walk into a clinic, speak about my body, my needs, my challenges, and walk out with a pill pack that would help me function each month, without feeling housebound. I never gave a thought as I walked across the stage and took my diploma later that summer, that I couldn't be anything I wanted to be. Thank you RBG and other women who joined you in making my life so so so much easier. I have not fought. I have not had the challenges. I am grateful. Thank you.
I also realize how easy it was for me to take time off to have my babies, again I didn't think twice. This is privilege. I know we have a long way to go helping parents navigate maternity leave and bonding. Again I am grateful. Thank you.
