Memories on the Tree

Memories on the Tree
This little guy was my first tree topper in that awkward independent phase in life of not kid and not adult. I had my own place to live so naturally I bought my own tree but that took all the budget so I had no ornaments. My sweet friend
Melissa Gardner Halford
's mom and auntie Black Friday shopped me my first box of ornaments (is that a verb?) and I picked out this cute little santa star. I think my mom gifted me my childhood ornaments that year or a year soon after so that my fake tree wasn’t barren for long. Talk about economical - this tree is now 25 years old.
If you need your own way to ‘Deck the Halls’ without breaking the bank, try stringing together dried orange slices, cranberries & popcorn for a colorful and festive garland! Go green and save money by opting for a classic home-made holiday style.🎄
What is the story of your tree topper (or other special decorations if you celebrate another holiday). 🕎

TOAD!

TOAD!
Do you LOVE toad? I LOVE toad, I always have, feel like I always will. TOAD is where it is at - straight to my heart. MAY have a lot to do with the summer I spent at Lake Powell. That was a summer that changed my life. First, my dad died, that was a shocker for a 20-year-old -- didn't know how to process it. Second, WORKING at Lake Powell - that is a privilege and would change anyone - an easy way to love the outdoors.  Third, I was roughly somewhere between a child and an adult, learned to water ski, wakeboard (which I still love), and fell in love with red sandstone. Lake Powell is spiritual. I was supported by a group of strangers that became lifelong friends that all helped change my life - WITH TOAD!

Today is National Cookie Day!🍪
One of my favorite traditions during the holiday season is that so many friends and family take up baking Christmas cookies for their friends and family. It’s fun to see the beautiful creations, the together time, the memories that are made, and it’s just a bonus when some end up on our doorstep.
If you are looking for the cookies but not the calories @audrey.krafft with #krafftykitchen makes sugar-free, dairy-free, grain-free cookie dough you can order to bake at home.
And if you are looking for zero calories … a great diffuser recipe is 5 drops stress away, 3 drops cinnamon bark, 1 drop nutmeg, and you home will smell like a snickerdoodle!
