Okay peeps, I have a quick question for you….

Okay peeps, I have a quick question for you….
What are some of your favorite health & fitness apps or goal tracker apps you like to use & why? 🧘🏻‍♀️
I use Strava to track my route, HIIT interval training to help me last longer with run/walk cycles, and of course Spotify to keep me motivated. I use an old fashioned pocket pedometer the rest of the day to track my steps. I’m not a smartwatch user nor do I have an iPhone so there are a lot of people whose devices just tell them things on autopilot.
Lisa Prado shared a habit tracker called FABULOUS, it’s worth a try, right?
I would love some recommendations to help me reach my health & fitness goals!

Stop scrolling & let me tell you about my first starter kit!
Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint were the reasons I first even thought about using essential oils and making the switch to a more natural lifestyle. 🌱
🐝 My little guy, Noah was so incredibly sneezy, (think April/May), and we were advised to use cetirizine daily … and then I read the side effects drowsiness, fatigue, tired feeling, dizziness, dry mouth, sore throat, cough, nausea, constipation, or headache. And in children, side effects included stomach pain and vomiting. THANK YOU, BUT NO! So I looked for something different and thank goodness I met another #boymom out on the baseball diamond to offer me a different choice.
🥂 I have come so far since that first starter kit & have learned so much & I’m passionate about sharing that with you! Now I use oils to support my emotions, help ground me for Yoga, uplift my spirit during IEPs, repel mosquitos in the summer, build my immune system in the winter, help seasonal sniffles in the spring, remove smoke smell in the fall, and get deeper sleep all year round.
✔️Reach out if you want to learn more about a bundle of starter oils!
(they come with your own personal coach😊)

This week … WOW … I don’t care where you stand, it’s been a doozy.

This week … WOW … I don’t care where you stand, it’s been a doozy.
I’m giggling at many ways people have managed to cope, “Well played December 37th, 2020” or “I’ve completed my 7-day trial of 2021 and I want to #cancelmysubscription”, y’all are very clever, but it doesn't change that fact that it's been a lot to process.
Therefore I’m rolling into the weekend with my favorite set of oils, CALM, c.🐝.dee to keep me CALM. 🌻I need calm right now … ALL THE #CALM
Not far behind for the self care is the #musclerub - I have collectively moved 10,000 steps this week - not daily. I have indeed been hunched over my computer WAYYY too much - but it is my job, so I’ll use the balm to help my shoulders and neck survive.
Lastly is the #citrus oil. I am using one dropper full under my tongue before leaving the house today to boost my energy, I’ve almost finished my first cup of coffee and am still dragging  - so … here’s to Friday friends, it’s time to reach for your favorite roller to finish off the week strong!

“We cannot become what we want by remaining what we are.” -Max Depree
Let’s be honest, taking the first step toward change can be difficult, but if we are never willing to move forward we will never see the change we desire in our lives.
Is your goal is to see change & growth this year?✨
I think organization is where many people crave change, that AND the exercise/weight loss/healthy habits change - but those take organization so maybe they are sometimes one in the same. I’m thinking about starting a Ningxia challenge at the end of this month.
Comment with YES if you are in, comment with WHAT? if you have no idea what Ningxia is … I will send you information if you are curious.

Hey Friends!

Hey Friends!
Okay -- after just one day back I am reinvigorated as to WHY I’m a part of the special education community here in Petaluma,CA. Yes … we all started with a power outage, yes we were taxed on how to use our resources without WiFi, without lights, without printing, without so much that distance learning depends on, but we made it, we are here today!
Our South County Consortium Teachers are the bomb. com - they have given their heart and soul to these students who are still at home, still on zoom, still being supported by their parent, their sibling, their ABA therapist, themselves. Many of them spent part of their vacation planning … planning their first day back, first week back, potentially their first month back!
As we start off  the new year I just want to tell you how grateful I am for this beautiful community here!
If you are new here I want to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Canaan Richards, and I am all about our special education squad, traveling/being outdoors with my husband and two boys, and teaching friends, family, and their friends and family about finding natural nontoxic solutions and how to use essential oils everyday. My goal is to show up and serve by sharing the outdoors, self-care, and DIY tips.
If you are taking your first steps toward toxic free living then you are in the right place!
Let me know if that’s you.
